PJHS Dress Code
•no strapless dresses or dresses with cut-outs (This includes school dances.)
•no "spaghetti straps", "tee tops", "muscle shirts" (We DO allow spaghetti straps for the school dance. Dresses for dance MUST have straps. Parents can purchase clear straps and attach if necessary.)
•no mini skirts or short shorts (shorts should not be overly tight and properly fitted at waist height)
›Shorts should not be shorter than mid-thigh.
›Skirts should be no more than 3 inches above the knee when standing, or
at the discretion of the principal of the designee for tall students.
›Shorts should be walking-type shorts, not athletic shorts with wide legs and/or slits.
•no overalls unfastened or with the bibs down
•no belts unfastened
•no picks or combs in hair
•no clothing with decals or clothing containing profanity, inferring obscene/indecent commentary (including skulls/skeletons) or referring to immoral or illegal behavior
•no oversized clothing
•no bagging/sagging pants worn below the waistline
›Pants should be worn at waist height with proper fit. Pant legs should reflect regular straight-leg jeans.
›No big bell bottom type pants or large over-sized pants are allowed. Pant legs should not drag the floor.
•no exposed midriffs-no short tops or low-waist pants
•no facial jewelry or large dangling earrings
›Only small earrings or stud-type earrings appropriate for school are allowed.
•no hats, caps, sunglasses
•no gloves except when outside of building during cold weather
•no bandannas or scarves
•no flip-flops
•no shoes which are untied or unlaced
•no clothing made of sheer fabric or spandex (This includes LEGGINGS)
•no clothing which is too tight, too short or too revealing causing distraction of others
•no gang colors (black/white, red/white, blue/white, all black)
•no holes in jeans above the knee
*no pajama bottoms or anything appearing as such
