Welcome to Life Science!  I am Dr. Ericka R. Woodson. It is such a pleasure to have you in my class. I have been in the field of education for several decades.  A native of historical Selma Alabama, I received a Bachelor's degree in Biology/Chemistry at Talladega College and Master of Education-Secondary Science from Alabama State University in Alabama.  My first teaching experience began in my hometown where I taught math and science on both the secondary and collegiate levels.  Later, my career path led me to Georgia where I taught a variety of science courses and worked with the Department of Student Support Services.  While residing in Georgia, I earned my specialist and doctoral degrees in Educational Leadership.  Now, I am back in "Sweet Home Alabama" to continue to fulfill my purpose. 

I am certain that you will have a meaningful, memorable, and successful educational experience at Prattville Jr. High School. Please know that I have been waiting on you.  I look forward to sharing scientific concepts and experiences that will motivate you to be life-long learners as you embark on your new educational journey.  There are high expectations for this class. Thus, ALL are expected to work in a Spirit of Excellence and strive to do your absolute best.
