I have been married to my husband Frank for 38 years. He recently retired from the United States Air Force where he proudly served our country for over 28 years, primarily in the field of Combat Communications. We have two grown children – Alyssa and Austin. Alyssa enjoys working with elementary-aged students at Daniel Pratt Elementary while Austin is married to Devan and started his third year of Medical School in July. I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, and being involved in the Young Married ministry at church. I taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade math at a local private school for six years and earned a Master of Education degree from Faulkner University. This is my ninth year at Prattville Junior High School. I love teaching math to junior high students and hope to instill in them a love of math. George Washington Carver once said “Education is the key to unlock the golden door of freedom.” Education can open many doors to opportunity. As an educator I hope to equip students with the knowledge and skills required to tackle the challenges life holds for all of us. I am proud and excited to be a part of Prattville Junior High School as we strive to make a positive difference in the lives of so many. GO CATS!!
