I am from a very small town in Alabama called Oneonta. If you are not familiar, it is about 45 minutes north of Birmingham. It is not quite 5 miles wide but it is a great place to grow up. I have always enjoyed science and getting to see how things work. I always knew I wanted to be a teacher and believed that I had the calling to be one!! 

I graduated from Oneonta High School in 2007. I went on to attend Jefferson State Community College on an Ambassador Scholarship and continued my education there for two years. I transferred to Auburn University in 2009 and graduated in May of 2012 with my BS in General Science Education/ Biology. I received my masters in December of 2015 from The University of West Alabama.
