Nice to meet you...
Hello there! I am a familiar face in Cat Country and am excited to teach 7th English Language Arts this year. I consider myself a native of this great community, graduating from Prattville High School in 1994. My husband, Joel, is a lifelong resident of Autauga County. We recently celebrated 25 years of marriage and have three children. Our boys both attend PHS. Mosby is a senior, and JEB is the freshman class president. Our daughter, Mary Mac, is in the 8th grade at PJHS and is a cheerleader.
I believe in the Autuagua County School System, love Prattville Junior High School, and truly consider it my great privilege to teach your most precious student! Go CATS!!
When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with family, reading, and traveling. I have been blessed to travel the world. A few of my favorite things are Platform 9 3/4 at Kings Cross in London, England, Van Gogh's Montmartre in Paris, France, Accademia's David in Florence, Italy, the Forum site of Caesar's funeral in Rome, Italy, the stories behind Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel scenes in Vatican City, a tiny courtroom in Nuremberg, Germany, the suspended bridge that leads to Neuschwanstein Castle in Schwangau, Germany and the chill in the air at Mont Blanc, Switzerland. I use these life experiences to engage students and encourage them to dream big!
"That is part of the beauty of all literature. You discover that your longings are universal, that you're not lonely and isolated from anyone. You belong." -F.Scott Fitzgerald
